For $24, you get a very sturdy steel peg rail. I've got them all around my garage, with lots of weight on them. No problems. They hang pretty easily on 16" center studs and are very sturdy. Pegs tend to pull out a bit easy when you take an item off, but that's true of most pegging systems. Given that the various alternatives (like Rubbermaid's FastTrac system) require you to buy their attachments, this one can be used with standard pegboard accessories--at 1/3 the cost. I gave the HoleyRail only four stars because 1) Very minimal and unhelpful included instructions, and 2) their "self-tapping" screws (for hanging heavier stuff than what pegs will support) don't seem to work--and come with no instructions at all. I can't get them started in the HoleyRail as I would expect to be able to. Fortunately I don't need them. But it might be an issue for some people.

I purchased these heavy duty metal peg holders directly from Holeyrail's website. They offer lower prices if you need additional pieces. They are very easy to install using the 3" screws which are included. You can also purchase from Holeyrail (directly) some plastic strips to hold the pegs in place ($7.50 for 50 pieces.) They do work and are an excellent value when you compare the cost to other vendors per piece. Be sure to purchase 1/4" peg hooks from Holeyrail if you don't have a convenient Harbor Freight close by. I had a bunch of pegs left over from 20 years ago that worked great. I also recently purchased some additional hooks at Home Depot but they did not have the "guide" on the hook and required some additional labor with the install. I used the plastic strips mentioned above (Holeyrail) and they worked great - highly recommended! One of the really beneficial results of organizing with these "rails" is that I have FOUND a bunch of lost tools. Also it is very easy to move things around to group items together (i.g. saws, shovels, etc.) I had no problem hanging such items as my water sprayer on this product. The display picture is very realistic to how my garage looks now :)

Finally a heavy duty organizer that's easy to install and use. This simple rail holds 15 - 20 different shovels, rakes, clippers and other garden tools. This stuff is HEAVY and the holeyrail holds them all!

Easy enough to install and hold tools perfectly

I have only had the product up in my garage for two weeks now, but so far, it is holding great. I was able to hang it up in my garage by myself with little difficulty (it was somewhat troubling to hold the rail, level, and mark the lines by myself, but it got done). The screws it came with were perfect to anchor it into the studs and standard peg hooks work great in it. The two 4' long pieces are more than sufficient to hang my outdoor tools and weedeater attachments. So far, I am extremely pleased.

Works as advertised

I've put this rail up in my basement. It is heavy gauge, secure, and standard pegboard accessories fit. An improvement over the 2x3 with nails that it replaced. Garden tools are now very organized. The plastic hold-downs keep hooks from lifting out. So far this works as advertised.

Very good product for the money. Only takes a short time to install once you locate the wall studs. Suggest using the 1/4 inch hooks.

Great organizing tool!

Hubby had it up in a flash and it's very sturdy; looks like it will last for ages. We bought a few different hooks at the local hardware store and hung up everything we could find lying around - right now it's holding our weed eater, shears, axe, shovel, pick, mallet, broom & dustpan, ladder, and a folding chair, among other smaller items. The garage is better for it; I love coming home to a neat garage :-) I would take a half star off my rating if I could, because you have to use (or buy) your own pegs; but they were easy to get from the store as it accepts standard peg fittings, and for the price this thing looks like it will last our lifetime. I also like that it's made in the USA.

Very sturdy and adaptable

We hung this tool rail in our sheltered outdoor potting area and so far it has been great. Our old organizer was a Rubbermaid rack and it was getting so overloaded with heavy tools that it was starting to tip over. This rail is great because it can accommodate any size tool handle, even the heavy shovels, because of the peg hook hanging system. I had looked at other rail systems and this was the only one that seemed sturdy enough, and flexible enough (in terms of spacing required, handle thickness, etc.). We had an unusual situation in terms of where we could drill into the wall supports, only about every 4 feet, and this product was the only one that could do it. It's a good price, but I do wish this product was available locally, since the shipping was pretty expensive. All in all, it has been great and really helped to spruce up and organize our tools. It makes doing yard work a little more pleasurable!

Outstanding system, well worth the money

Easy to hang and super sturdy. If I had strong enough pegs I could do pull ups on this stuff. I also really appreciate the peg straps, which I have snapped over my various pegs in order to keep them from either flopping around or dropping out of the rail entirely. So far I've hung 12 feet, put 8 feet in my mom's garage, and plan to hang more. And do yourself a favor, spend the extra few nickels and buy solid pegs, too, not the cheap thin stuff. Then lock them down with peg straps.

5S your garage!

Great Garage organizer

Like most people my garage was a mess, so I purchased Holeyrail and my only regret is that I only ordered one set. Strong, easy to install, and can hold anything you have lying around in your garage, a must buy.

Works Great

The product is exactly what it claims to be. I have had it for about 6 months, and am as happy with it now as I was when I bought it. It took maybe 10 minutes to mount on the wall in my garage and the rails are extremely sturdy. Using 1/4" peg hooks gives a very stable hanging plat form for all kinds of items. I currently have a shovel, two brooms, line trimmer and accessories, and a 8 ft step ladder on the rail with room for quite a bit more. I really like this product, and would recommend it.

I like it, but dont think its perfect. Good for my garage
4/ 5 stars

I give these a solid 4 stars, leaning toward 4.5. To sum it up, they do what they are supposed to do, but it's a little bit quirky to install. I think for the value of the rail and for what you get, it definitely beats the plastic style rails that you get at home improvement stores. The reason is the pegs are dirt cheap, and if you want to hang ANYTHING on those other rails it will cost anywhere from $8-$11. I picked up a few multi packs of hooks for around $35 - $40, and bought about $50 worth of these rails. For around $100 invested plus a little time to hang them, I feel I've got a solid system in the garage. Pro: Solid steel heavy gauge. These things are "rated" for 600lbs, and I would say the steel alone probably could support it. But don't plan on really hanging that much weight. I probably have around 30lbs on one, and there is no sign of it sagging or doing anything bad. Hangers are dirt cheap for them. You can hang whatever you want, and organize it the way you want. Comes with "peg strappers" and some screws. I am not overly impressed with the pegstrappers, but they do what they say they do. They keep the hooks from pulling out. Value. Really this is the biggest thing. I got 5 of these rails for about $55 shipped. I'm out of stuff to hang up. Cons: To hang these up side by side, you will almost need to put some drywall anchors in rather than putting it into a stud. The reason being these measure 48" long, and that is only enough space for 3 screws obviously. They state that you need 4 screws minimum to support the weight rating. Well if you hang them dead center at 48" you can't butt them up. If you off center it a little bit by 1" you could hang two up side by side, but that's it. So I had several drywall hangers. Weight isn't a huge concern for me, so keep this in mind. I am NOT trying to hold up 600lbs. Shipping cost is a bit of a bummer for these, but I believe they are being honest as to the true cost. *EDIT* One thing to point out, I'm sure that the pegs that you stick in this thing will fail LONG before this rail will, and I'm not really knocking it. I just dont think its perfect. For this thing to be perfect in my opinion it needs to have a couple more rows of holes in there, and it could fit more stuff. My critique about the 48" rail on 16" spacing is minor, and not sure how to fix that.

A cool item but DON'T OVER TIGHTEN THE DECK SCREWS WHEN HANGING!
4/ 5 stars

By:

I bought two of the Holeyrails and they are a really cool idea. They are easy to install with a stud finder, screw gun and a level. When mounted properly, they hold a lot. Please note that I would NOT use drywall hangers, even the heavy duty ones to mount this. Find at least two studs and drive a couple deck screws into them. I have a couple dozen items hanging from them including a smart ladder and it has no problem supporting all of it. The Holeyrail uses standard peg board hooks and note: IT DOES NOT COME WITH ANY HOOKS! So understand that you will need to purchase those separately. The rail does come with some clever little "holders" that help keep the peg board hooks in place, which is nice. My one complaint is that the rail will bend very easily if you even slightly over-tighten a screw while mounting...especially on the end. It does indicate this in the instructions but it is not emphasized enough. I started the hanging process and mounted one of the end holes into a stud and slightly over-tightened the first screw and the rail flattened a tiny bit. I realized this quickly so the bending was very minimal. But, if you have a screw gun or drill with some power, you could easily flatten the rail out like a pancake by over-tightening...and you are not likely to get it bent back to its proper shape. All in all, this is a nice sturdy item that can really help organize your garage or workshop. I recommend it.

Strongest organizer I've ever found...

I stumbled upon the Holeyrail after purchasing 2 different garage organizers. I returned both. I found them flimsy and cheap. When I read about the Holeyrail, I was sold, but the shipping cost was a bit high. So I hesitated before I bought it. Finally, I gave in and purchased the product. It arrived as promised and was easy to install. My shed has never looked more ordered and the holeyrail performed beautifully. I loaded it up with heavy shovels, rakes, garden clippers, etc. Definitely worth the price + shipping. Overall an exceptional product.

I bought this for my shed. It works well, bigger than I thought. I striped a few screws untill I figured it out! Oil them. Goes in a lot easier than I thought. It would be nice if they included a couple of hooks with it to see how that would work, otherwise came as described and in a shorter time than I though also

Very nice solid product. I put 3 very heavy golf bags, and half my garage up on it, and if I had more room, I could put more. Very nice!

The Holey Rail is a straight forward approach to storing things that always fall over or take up one corner of a shop. Should never need maint. or care after instaling.

Great purchase

This organizer is just what I've been looking for, and I'm so pleased with it that I'm getting ready to purchase a second. The two separate 4 ft. pieces makes it so versatile. I installed one section in my shed for garden tools and the other in the garage for ladders and misc. tools. The only disappointing aspect of the product was the lack of instructions. For such a good product one would expect a little more information on how to properly install and correctly use the item. Thank goodness for Amazon's customer Q&A section because they helped me get it installed quickly.

Holeyrail Garage Organizer
5/ 5 stars

By:

This item comes with 2, 4 foot rail pieces, mounting instructions and hangar secure things described below. (NOTE: peg board hangars not included, but Amazon does offer several inexpensive multi-piece sets.) The two separate pieces makes it more versatile! The wall that separates our house and garage has a lot of vent runs. We had structural pictures and could use one 4' piece there and the other we put directly across on another wall. It uses the standard peg board hangars, giving you lots of hanging options and keeping costs down. The quality certainly is industrial and the hangars fit in better because the shape of the rail leaves a gap between the rail and wall. They even include plastic strips and button like pegs so you can secure your hangars to the rail! This is SO much better than the peg board squares made of thin particle board you get at home depot and so much less expensive than the hardware box stores rail systems!

Solid - You'll say Holey Moly

Love this one so much in my storage shed I'm going to buy another. Too bad the shipping isn't Prime, 50% price increase to ship but worth it. I had 6 ft of space and was able to hang one higher and have two rails in the middle 2 feet. Bought three of the Double Straight Pegboard Hook Assortment from Stanley and was able to organize all of our outdoor gardening tools on the wall, Screws that came with were all I needed to mount, they are thin enough to not need a starter hole in the side of a 2x4.

Nice rack
4/ 5 stars

By:

This is a basic well-built rack and sturdy enough to hold heavier items. The hardest part is ensuring you have the appropriate variety of hooks and hangers (sold separately) to hold your items. Their proprietary hook-holder system is better than some of the alternatives, but it works much better in certain configurations that others.

Excellent Product
5/ 5 stars

By:

I purchased the Holeyrail for use in my garage, to replace several somewhat flimsy plastic rail. It took a bit of extra effort with a studfinder to mount the Holeyrail, but once it was up and level, I found it to be an ideal solution for storing all of my shovels and brooms. It is EXTREMELY study--I was even able to hang a lightweight electric snowblower. It uses the type of pegboard anchors you can find at any home improvement or hardware store.

be careful
0/ 5 stars

By:

Be advised there are no pegs provided with this system. Just rails, screws and the anchor tabs. For the price, consumers should get pegs provided in my opinion. The system also need to be attached to a wall that has drywall. I have open 2x4 studs to attach to. I had to attach to a 2x6 and attch that to the studs. The system seems rugged enough to handle heavy items, however.

Strong and sturdy system

Good value and it met my needs. The holes are larger than needed; the clips don't work well, they don't cover enough space.

Just ok
2/ 5 stars

The material is good quality but bends easy if you apply medium force while installing. The reason i gave it 2 stars is because of the shipping....I received it 7 days later than I should have. Like I said in my title review.....its just ok.

Not that great as described
1/ 5 stars

Got Product as open box. No paper in that packet that tally what list of items should I get from packet. No installation manual. I had to go home depot and buy screw to install it. Just my advice if you brought already. Find a horizontal stud behind the dry wall and screw it in the middle also other wise there will be so much pressure in the side that it can come out. Any way in my packet there was nothing other than grail, I did not know how to install it. Did whatever HD guy said.
